2025 Doujinshi Haul

It's been a while since I last bought doujinshi, but when I saw Akipi and Ahin's skelebros doujin for sale on BOOTH, I knew immediately I had to get it!!
Unfortunately, I couldn't use my usual proxy, Buyee, to make the purchase, since the BOOTH listing had a purchase limit that the proxy couldn't order from.
I was determined to purchase the doujin, since I doubted the full contents would ever be reuploaded on a later date, so I decided to try a new proxy service, JapanRabbit, which was recommended in forum posts suggesting alternatives that mitigate BOOTH's purchase limit.
I'm well aware of how pricey proxy shipping from Japan can be— I learned that the hard way after making my first doujinshi order through Buyee, so I decided to add a few more doujinshi to the order to make the most of the pricey shipping. I bought the additional books secondhand through mandarake and was able to purchase some additional UNDERTALE doujinshi for a fair price! The real star of the show is the UNKY 2019-2022 DNKB Art Book!
I've been following UNKY since her voltron days, and while it would be nice to have physical copies of her older doujins, I'm quite content that a majority of her works have been scanned and reuploaded online. Scans of the complete DNKB book can be found in myreadingmanga, however the tags are missing additional warnings for shotacon, and implied pokemon beastiality (its only one sketch iirc, but its worth taking precaution regardless) so if you plan on taking a look, please heed the content warnings!
Ordering from JapanRabbit was pretty straightforward; the UI is easy to navigate and the ordering process is simple. However, each store counts as an independent order, which means a separate proxy fee for each one. The BOOTH order had a service fee of $7.45, whereas the Mandarake order had a service fee of $18.88.
Shipping came to $37.22 which includes a $5.00 consolidation fee ($2.50 per order). Unfortunately my package also got hit with an additional $20 fee from customs so my total haul came to about ~$168.34 total in CAD.
I can't make a direct comparison between the two proxy services I used since the last time I bought doujinshi was in 2023, and the receipts are unfortunately lost to time. I probably wouldn't use JapanRabbit again because the additional fees add up quickly, but I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking to bypass purchase-limit restrictions on certain shopping sites.

Now on to the haul itself! I'll detail each book from left → right starting from the top!

"LOVE A LIVE" by Nanbokuya

A SFW short comic anthology featuring various four-panel omake strips..
Theres some implied Undyne/Alphys near the end which I found super cute!
The doujin circle does make R18 doujins so I'd take precaution when browsing through their other works.

"DNKB Complete Book" by UNKY 🔞

A complete compilation of all of UNKY's DNKB works created throughout the years! The book is B5-sized and comes with a tinted custom dust cover featuring the printed logo!

"No matter what, it's still love" by Banoakira

A SFW canon divergence comic featuring Chara, Flowey, and the Skelebros! (ft. Frisk)
I almost didn't get this book, since a minor pet peeve of mine in UNDERTALE fanart is when Sans is drawn without his signature toothy grin. I only reconsidered because of how adorable and moe Papyrus looked in the preview images!! The doujinshi includes an English translation in the speech bubbles, which made it so much easier to read. I have zero regrets about purchasing the book in the end!

"Even a dog will gain determination if it walks" by Nanbokuya

Another SFW short comic anthology from Nanbokuya featuring various four-panel omake strips, this time DELTARUNE flavoured!
It also contains some Undyne/Alphys — even their DELTARUNE counterparts find their way to each other in the end! Super cute!!

"Born to be with ya" by Akipi + Ahin

A SFW skelebros collaboration anthology featuring lab Sans and baby bones Papyrus!
The book came with the cutest postcard of Sans and Papyrus star gazing with a drawing of Sans + Baby Bones Paps in the back!
I find myself struggling to read through the book due to how overwhelmingly cute baby Papyrus is eeeeeeeeeeeee (//w//)

Overall I'm very content with my haul despite the steep price. I'll probably consider doing a group order next time so shipping can be split between multiple parties. Ahh, I look forward to a time where I can proudly display my R18 doujinshis out in the open on a book shelf!
